Privacy Policy

Last updated: August 19, 2026

This Privacy Policy explains how CodeExam Prep ("we", "us", or "our") collects, uses, and protects information when you use CodeExam Prep (the "Service"). We respect your privacy and only collect what we need to run the Service.

1. Information we collect

Account information you provide, such as your name and email address, and (if you sign in with Google) basic profile information from your Google account.

Usage data generated as you use the Service, such as practice sessions, answers, scores, bookmarks, and progress, which power your dashboard and personalize your experience.

Payment information. When you purchase a plan, payment is processed by our payment provider, Stripe. Stripe collects and processes your card and billing details directly. We do not receive or store your full card number; we only receive limited information such as a customer identifier, plan, and payment status needed to activate your access.

Technical data such as your IP address, browser type, and cookies or similar technologies used to keep you signed in and to operate the Service securely.

2. How we use your information

We use your information to: provide and maintain the Service; create and secure your account; process payments and manage subscriptions; track and display your study progress; send you important account and transactional emails (such as receipts, trial reminders, and password resets); respond to support requests; and improve the Service. We do not sell your personal information.

3. Service providers we share data with

We share limited information with trusted third parties only as needed to run the Service:

  • Stripe — payment processing and subscription management.
  • Our email provider — to deliver transactional emails (e.g. receipts, reminders, password resets).
  • Hosting and infrastructure providers — to host the application and database.

These providers process data on our behalf under their own privacy and security terms. We may also disclose information if required by law or to protect our rights.

4. Cookies

We use cookies and similar technologies that are necessary for authentication (keeping you signed in) and for the secure operation of the Service. You can control cookies through your browser settings, but disabling essential cookies may prevent you from signing in or using parts of the Service.

5. Data retention

We keep your information for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the Service, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce our agreements. You may request deletion of your account and associated personal data at any time (see below).

6. Security

We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your information. However, no method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

7. Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, export, or delete your personal information, or to object to or restrict certain processing. To exercise these rights, contact us at the email below and we will respond as required by applicable law.

8. Children's privacy

The Service is intended for adults and is not directed to children under 18. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us information, please contact us and we will delete it.

9. Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the "Last updated" date above. Continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
